Bowling Is Family Fun

Guest post written by my buddy Angelo Cooper

Every Monday night is bowling night for my family. We bowl at the local bowling alley called Double D Lanes in Circleville Ohio. My wife and four kids absolutely love being able to spend quality time with each other. We have a great time while bowling and catch up with each other’s busy lives. My son who is 15 is probably the best bowler in the family. He bowled a 296 while bowling for his high school team this past fall. It was very exciting; we all thought he may be able to roll a 300 but came up four pins shy.

During our night out at the bowling alley, we normally eat our supper there. They have a terrific pizza parlor attached to the bowling alley and the food is simply marvelous. This sounds funny but, my favorite is their grilled cheese, my wife always makes fun of me for that.

Family time at the bowling alley is good clean fun and does not set a large family back an arm and a leg. Double D is always running specials, such as roll one game, get another free, this helps out with five kids. The money we save by going bowling on Monday nights instead of eating at fancy restaurants helped pay for the security system (CLICK). My wife makes sure to set the security system whenever we leave on Monday night to go bowling with the family.
