Opening day for Go Ape 2016 season was March 5, 2016 and lucky us…we got to be the first one on the course!  If you didn’t know already I am terrified of heights, but slowly learning to get out of my comfort zone and get over my fears.  I was also able to be one of the first ones to zipline when they first opened in 2012.

What a perfect day to zipline!  It was a bit chilly still at 38 degrees at 830am, my only regret I should have worn gloves!  Hunter has been on the Juniors course now for several years and this was his first time on the Tree Top Adventures ( 5 courses, 5 ziplines each taking you higher into the trees!)  You have to be 10 years old so unfortunately, Ethan has to wait 3 more years so he stayed at home.

Since Hunter is experienced on the Juniors course he was extremely excited to go on the adult course!  No FEAR!  He took to the tarzan swing like he had done it before.  I screamed for him!  He LOVED it and overall I did great on the 2nd time doing the course..only took 2 1/2 hours to complete.

Thanks to Kevin our safety instructor!  He did a great job training Hunter and I on the equipment and encouraging me to jump!  I can’t wait to take both of my boys ziplining!

My first time using my new GoPro Hero 4 Silver!  Check out the POV on the ziplining!

And of course the fun video of my 10 year old son Hunter racing through the ziplining – no hands going down!

I received passes to zipline from GoApe Williamsburg in exchange for writing a review on the blog.  Although this post is sponsored, all opinions are my own.
