go ape williamsburg

Talk about facing your fear of heights with the Go Ape Adventure in Williamsburg!  Yesterday I went to the Go Ape in Freedom Park with Sula and I had no idea really what I was getting myself into.   I have an extreme fear of heights but I have been on a mission lately to try and push myself out of my comfort zone for new opportunities I wouldn’t have otherwise done.  And this is one of them.

When we arrived there we were greeted by Eric ( the site manager) and Clint ( our guide ) these 2 guys were great!  Clint walked us through a very thorough safety instructional demo and then a practice one on a much smaller version of what the obstacle course would be like.

The first one had to be by far the hardest one with the tarzan swing and I am so glad we didn’t get that on video!  I think it took about 15 mins or maybe longer to convince me to jump off the ledge into the net.  But I finished all the courses with alot of encouragement from Sula and Clint!  The very last zip line was at 600 ft long and they said the highest point was 40 feet high!

Here are some photos and video of our adventure the other day!
